Old version of etempaltes. All my egw instances use separate db’s. it is like the sessions are getting crossed then updating the db of the current session sometimes that being the wrong db for the instance.
How can I force the diff instances to use separate sessions?
It could be a caching problem, if you cloned the instances: in that case
the contain identical install_id’s which are used for instance specific
caches.
instance_id is diesplayed under Admin >> Site configuration (at very
end) and can be changes with
UPDATE egw_config
SET config_value=MD5(CONCAT(RAND(),NOW(),RAND()))
WHERE config_name='install_id' AND config_app='phpgwapi'
Or am I better of just upgrading to et2? I was going to but in a week or 2 just in case of problems but I am running into a bunch now :-S.
I strongly advice against updating a production system to et2!

about which version are you talking?
(old) eTemplate stores eTemplates in DB and uses only a distribution
file in $app/setup/etemplates.inc.php.
New eTemplate2 uses .xet files in $app/templates/default/*.xet and not
yet allow to modify eTemplates instance specific. The later is definitly
planned, but not yet coded.

Ok so I have set up a couple of installs of egw on the same server. 2
development versions on different domain then the production. However, when
an etemplate is changed on on install it is reflected on the others.
yes:
- they all have different db instances
- yes they all have different webserver path /home/user/public_html
- no they have not svn updated to get the updated files.
I am baffled. Please help. My production version is hanging on by a thread
here after I accidentaly changed a the default widget template then
restored.
After the restore nm_widget is throwing and unkown type error. Unkown type
"hidden" but appears to be functioning otherwise.
