eTemplate2 problem

Hello,

I have an issue with eTemplate2:

[Mon Aug 04 14:12:29 2014] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Error
storing etemplate request data for
id=emailadmin_firstuser_53df78ad114d38.01096041!, referer:
http://mydomain/index.php?cd=yes

and

etemplate_request::read(‘admin_firstuser_53df7837dcec87.39376105’, …)
eT2 request not found / expired --> redirecting app admin to
/index.php?menuaction=admin.admin_ui.index&ajax=true
(_GET[menuaction]=admin.etemplate_new.ajax_destroy_session.etemplate,
isJSONRequest()=TRUE), referer: http://mydomain/index.php?cd=yes

With that some applications don’t work correctly, like the new mail
client…

I feel that the problem comes from a mistake in configuration of the
cache folder, but I don’t know where it is located and how to change it
(if needed)
(I found nothing on the net for that…)

Any idea or any help?

Similar problem here using the calendar application:
[Wed Aug 06 09:08:57 2014] [warn] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] mod_fcgid:
stderr: Error storing etemplate request data for
id=calendar_klein_123456789abcde.12345678!, referer: http://abc.def.de/
index.php?menuaction=calendar.calendar_uiviews.index

When I try to modify a calendar entry, the “Save” button makes the main
window reload, the dialog stays open, and nothing is saved.

Hello, I can confirm this. I have AJAX issues after instalation. Somtimes windows jumps from one to another, popups don’t save data ect. we are now invetigation issues from Apache log.

This error means that caching is NOT working! This is really serious,
your EGroupware will probably not work.

EGroupware selects it’s caching backend by default automatically:

if a APC compatible shared memory cache is available, that the first
preference, if it has more then 128MB available
if APC is not available or to small, we cache into temp. directory
specified in setup
there are more backends, but they need to be manually enabled eg. in
header.inc.php file

So you should check if temp. directory you specified exists and is
writable for the webserver. Or even better install APC or APCu and give
it at least 128, better 256MB (apc.shm_size * apc.shm_segments).

Most EGroupware apps will not work, if you dont fix that issue!

Setup (upper login) >> Edit current configuration: full path for
temporary files

apc.shm_size=512M

to /etc/php5/mods-available/apc.ini

and apache restart
