In InfoLog you could using custom status for that purpose, they are
independent of the category.

Not really. In the GTD system context is orthogonal to categories. The
latter are thematic, the former are local and/or temporal.
A possibility would be to be able to select two categories per task. Then
one could make two root categories: projects and context.
Although, that would be rather confusing, especially for beginners.
