Actually there is no such bug. At least not that I was able to reproduce it.
What the real problem appeared to be, is that you may be using a mailserver
that is requiering TLS.
If this is the case you MUST specify the method within the SMTP server
field:
tls://mail.forum1203.ch
Whitespace before and after server/usernames are also a common reason for
failing to connect.
I can’t send message with egroupware version 1.6.002 .
My settings are:
Hostname: mail.forum1203.ch
Protocol: IMAP
Mail server type: Virtual mail manager
Mail Domaine: forum1203.ch
SMTP server: mail.forum1203.ch
SMTP port: 587
User SMTP: xxx@forum1203.ch Password: xxxxxx
I have seen on this forum that there was a bug in felamimail with
numerical
domain name

I have the same problem for some mail addresses. Felamimail works fine for
other address. So it is unlikely the mail server issue.
So far, felamimail has trouble with any address with xxx@163.com,
xxx@128.com. Is it possible the numerical portion of the domain name
confuses felamimail?
I filed a bug report a while ago. But I guess it has yet got enough
priority yet.
Can somebody confirm this bug ?
