FelaMiMail with Cyrus 2.2 date problem

Hi,

After give up Dovecot because the Sieve module seems don’t work with
eGW, I tried Cyrus 2.2 but now I have a problem with the date format.
Some mails is displayed as Jan-1-1970 instead of the real date Jul-22-2007.

It seems a problem with the date in french as :

I use eGW 1.3.017

I never got this problem with Courier or Dovecot !?

Have you a fix ?

Hi,

You should try the latest 1.4.
I use it and I have no problem with date.
Cyrus 2.2.12-r4.
Ok, little bit slow (imap+egw in the same machine
(In a compaq armada m700 - pIII 700MHz + 152 MB RAM

1.4 is the stable, just try it in a test environment.

I only can repeat myself, sorry.
I have no other idea than upgrade all things what you can and you will
see, it is working or not.

But as I remember, there were an other thread on this forum about this
thing.

Hi.

We are up to date, and have this problem also with some mails we receive form a blackberry service, this mails have a different time zone, and have date in the future, then Felamimail shows date like 01/01/1970

Maybe comparing the header of the problematic email with the normal one
should help.
I do not know, how

I will check my installation to catch a similar email.

In my setup i have 2 servers. the external smtp (mysmtp), receives mail from outside and relays the internal mail to my internal smtp / imap server (myimap). I have notice a time difference between this two servers (you can see this in this header time lines), perhaps this is the problem that caused the error

In a ideal situation this should not happen, but this day the ntp daemon had died and my time got wrong.

Im going to test with this mail to make changes in the headers to see what happens to the date displayed by felamimail

I have done some work on this and found the problem (in my case). The following output shows two date formats for each of 4 (0-3) emails. Lines starting with “F” are formatted and those starting with “U” are unformatted. Emails 0 and 1 have “+930” and convert from strings well. However, 2 and 3 have “+980” and do not convert at all.

I don’t know why felamimail is setting the +980 rather than the correct (for me) +930. I can send emails correctly from the command line with the “mail” command so the system seems to be correct and that may mean PHP is the problem.

I will continue work on this problem. let me know if anyone makes any progress.

Further testing shows that the file “egroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.phpmailer.inc.php” has a line which may have an error in it.

As a test, I changed line “1471” from this:
$tz = ($tz/3600)*100 + ($tz%3600)/60;

to this:
$tz = “+930”;

And it worked. Note that +930 is my timezone. So i assume there is an error in the maths for the TZ variable.

found the bug:

change that line 1471 to:

$tz = (int)($tz/3600)*100 + ($tz%3600)/60;

without the (int) cast, the expression only deals with full hours, not
with the half ones in Oz.

I commit the fix to 1.4 and trunk svn.

Yes, I got a mail from Santoz, but I had no time to upgrade my personal
system (egw), sorry.
Probably this night or next morning.
