Felamimail Woes

Hello everyone

I know that this topic has been touched more than a few times, but after searching the forum I have not found an answer.
The problem is the following:
When I try to access Felamimail, egroupware takes AGES to show a blank screen, but when I take away my IMAP config from setup, it instantly shows me that I do not have IMAP config.

My php.ini is configured to instruccions, when I do a config check in setup, all the necessary settings pass, and I have pear installed and configured.

I am using PHP 5.2.4, which comes with xampp 1.6.4, and i am using Kerio Mailserver version 6.7.3 Patch 1

I have checked the error log and nothing appears, also I have tried various configurations in the imap setup (localhost, 127.0.0.1, the servers IP address and the public IP address) with no change.

I am now not sure if it is my version of PHP that is causing the problem or something else, help with this problem would be greatly apreciated.

It’s quite an old PHP version, thought I’m not aware of any problems.

AFAIK we have no experience with Kerio mailserver.

Are you using the current community version 1.8.001.2010111?

If not the first thing to do it, to update to the current version.

If that does NOT help, the quickest way is to buy a small support budget
(http://www.stylite.de/egroupware_consulting_and_support) and send us
credentials for one mailbox on your server.

Sorry about not answering straight away, but time zone diferences dont help.

Yes I am using the latest version of egroupware, and have been playing around ALOT with imap configs, and still nothing, what is happening is the following:

Egroupware can access the accounts from Kerio Mailserver, so login is not an issue, but as soon you try to access email, by clicking the email icon, thats where the problem starts, I get an endless wait, with no page, when I use ssl, or if I use plain IMAP, theres a huge wait and then a blank screen.

On the mail server side I get “Failed IMAP login from localhost, authentication method DIGEST-MD5”.

Now what is weired, this use to work on an older version of egroupwareand older version of Kerio, both now upgraded to newer versions, and they dont talk.
The reason I am using an older version of PHP is because of our web pages.

The test account is

Domain: sanclemente.cl
User: egroupware
Pass: 123456

Please help, I have passed 2 days trying to figure this out without luck, I do remember changing something in PHP.INI to get the old setup working…

Hi everyone, Ihave sorted the problem out and now will post the solucion for future reference:

I am using egroupware felamimail and Kerio mailserver together, and was always recieving an IMAP error in Kerio, and a LONG wait with the result of a blank screen in Felamimail. Well the solution was very simple, in Kerio it is necesarry to go to Advanced Options, Security and untick CRAM-MD5 and DIGEST-MD5, thas it.

Felamail now works great, and fast, so thats all folks…
