I was curious about the ability to provide a web-page link to documents stored in filemanager.
We are in the process of centralizing all our documents onto EGW, and staff can easily access with webdav on Windows or OSX. We have a few forms for clients that we currently link statically from within our web server.
Since we wish to keep all documents on one server, it would be helpful to have a method for presenting a link from our website to particular documents that would be provided by EGW. I have a method of autologging a guest user with read-only privilege to a calendar and the resource module (which we use for field equipment inventory). We could serve the docs by adding permission to view filemanager module, but feel that a download-only link would be a better solution.
The webserver is stand-alone, not part of the web CMS built in to EGW.
Has anyone tried this approach?
