Font Sizes Too Big - How to Change?

Ralf, Nathan, Lukasz,

The font sizes in 14 are not consistent and are too big in all the
applications. What I can’t figure out is the fonts are fine in the Admin pages.
For example in this admin screenshot the fonts are OK:

But in all other applications, preferences, etc. the fonts are at least 2
full points bigger and just awkward:

I’ve looked though all the admin and preferences settings, but cannot find a
way to set the application font size.

If you’re using Chrome (others might work too), you can inspect one of
those oversize elements to see which part of which CSS is responsible
for the size.
This should at least give a starting place.
