Is it possibel to have a forum application with egroupware1.4 or newer?
I have vertion 1.4 install in a debian machine and the is no debian package
for forum in the aptitude and the only egroupware-forum***.dev have as
dependecy egroupware-core.1.0
Any solutions?
Well, my personal point of view is “this is open source”. If you can do
it yourself or find who can do it, you can use it on your own.
Additionally, you can create a patch and submit it to tracker. I’d also
apply this to some other similar requests/offers about apps to get to
work with egroupware.
However, for an app to be in mainstream, at least one maintainer is
needed to be in charge of bugs, updates, etc. Again, this is my personal
opinion, but from what I remember, Ralf has expressed this same concept
whenever it has been raised.
Regards.
