Freezes with email client

Hello,
First let me thank you for this great piece of software that we use since many years.
We’re a non profit hospital and we use EGW CE daily.
Since the version 14 and even with the 16, we have a very annoying bug when we try to send an email : after clicking on the “send” button, the browser freezes (tested with both Chrome and FireFox) and we have to wait for long seconds before the mail is really sent. Sometimes, the whole page is freezed too and we need to restart the browser.
We use hMailServer, an Open Source mail server running on Windows, as a mail server. When using another client (like Horde, Outlook or an Android email client), we have no problem. Earlier versions of EGW worked fine, too.
I tried to disable the antivirus scan on the email server with no change. And of course, EGW and hMailServer are hosted on different servers.
Any idea on how I can fix this ?

Hi there,

Maybe first thing to check is the webServer error log, and see if you get extra information while trying to send mail. It’s good to check your browser console and look for javascript errors, plus watching network tab to see which request fails or gets to pending state.

As we can not reproduce this error, it would be very helpful to share above mentioned information with us to do more investigation.
