Hi,
I’m new to eGroupWare and PHP and having trouble installing eGroupWare.
I have downloaded eGroupWare-1.4.004-2.zip, eGroupWare-egw-pear-1.4.004-2.zip and eGroupWare-gallery-1.4.004-2.zip. I’ve extracted the contents to C:\Wiki\EGroupWare
I’m using WinXP SP2. I have IIS V6 installed and a virtual directory configured to look at “C:\Wiki\EGroupWare”. I have installed PHP v5.2.6 from www.php.net. I’ve downloaded and installed MySQL Community Server V5.0.67 (NB had to rename service to “MySQL5” from “MySQL”).
When I run C:\Wiki\EGroupWare\eGroupWare-1.4.004-2\egroupware\setup\index.php and an installation check is done, several warning are raised.

Checking for GD support…: False
Your PHP installation does not have appropriate GD support. You need gd library version 1.8 or newer to see Gantt charts in projects.
1) eGroupWare-1.4.004-2.zip seems to be the main archive. What is the purpose of eGroupWare-egw-pear-1.4.004-2.zip and eGroupWare-gallery-1.4.004-2.zip and when do I use them in the installation process?
-
How do I get the installer to recognise MySQL installation?
-
Most of the errors relate to PEAR. When I go to http://pear.php.net, I have no idea what “package” to install. What package do I install? Are there any installation instructions?
-
One of the warnings relate to GD support. I’ve downloaded gd_2_0_33 from http://www.php.net then directed to http://www.libgd.org/. I’ve extracted the files to C:\Program Files\PHP\gd_2_0_33. There doesnt seems to be installation instructions. What do I do next?
Greatly appreate any guidance on any of these issues
Many Thanks
Michael
