GroupDAV and calendar syncing...?

Hi All,

I’ve looked cursorily at the latest eGroupware docs. It appears that
it now supports basic GroupDAV. With that in mind, I’m curious as to
how to subscribe (and publish) to calendars using clients such as
sunbird? Whenever I go to “http://myserver/egroupware/groupdav.php/calendar
” it receive an error stating that it isn’t present.

I’m using version 1.4.004-2.dfsg-1. From what I gather, groupdav is
supposed to be present from 1.4.003 and greater. Is there something
I’m missing?

Later 1.4 releases contains only GroupDAV support, which sunbird does
NOT! It’s under the url
http://myserver/egroupware/icalsrv/groupdav.php/calendar/

For Sunbird or Lightning you need to use CalDAV, which is only available
in 1.6. Use the url http://myserver/egroupware/groupdav.php/calendar/

AFAIK 1.6 is already in debian testing and maybe also in backports, dont
know. I would recommend to use the daily snapshot from
www.egroupware.org/download

Ok, before I received your email, I manually installed the latest
stable 1.6. It would appear that “http://myserver/egroupware/groupdav.php/calendar/
” now exists, but there is nothing there and Sunbird complains that
the calendar is momentarily not available. At the time of
subscription I didn’t have any events on the calendar – is this
required to avoid an error state? It’s noteworthy that even after
adding events, nothing changed.

I guess I will grab a daily now and give that a try.

Ok, I’ve actually installed the latest snapshot and Sunbird appears to
be happy. Now I’m left with two other items:

Is there any way to add “Participants” from a client? For
instance, I know you can add “invitees” via Sunbird, but they don’t
correlate to any real-world users on the eGroupware server. Is there
any way to match these up?
I still can’t get Apple iCal working. It doesn’t like the
calendar format, and it appears that iCalSrv is no longer in there…?
