GroupDav and infolog

Hi all,

I’m really impressed with egroupware. I’ve setup a test server which easily interfaces to the existing mail server and LDAP server so that all users can log in, see their email, and their address books WOOT!

I’ve been able to configure Evolution and thunderbird so that they can share the egroupware calendars. seamlessly. Fantastic.

What I want to do now is get Evolution Task lists to integrate with egroupware infolog. I’ve tried using the URL “caldav://karmicserver/egroupware/groupdav.php/infolog” similar to what I did for the calendar, but it does not work. Does anybody know if this can be done or not. Or am I simply doing something wrong?

InfoLog currently only supports GroupDAV, NOT CalDAV!

Thank you, from what I’ve read on the net it also does not look like Evolution will be supporting GroupDav any time soon. Therefore I think I can only reasonably expect email, addressbook, and calendar synchronization between egroupware and evolution. Pity.

Two more questions on synchronizing these things.

calendars. I can sync my calendar in both applications by giving evolution the URL caldav://karmicserver/egroupware/groupdav.php/calendar But how do I read other peoples calendars to which I’ve been given permission? Are there any additional parameters I can supply to identify which calendar I want to read?
addressbook. I keep separate addressbooks on a separate LDAP server which both egroupware and evolution can read easily. There is a company addressbook at one level ( ou=People,dc=mydomain), Group addressbooks (cn=,ou=Groups,dc=mydomain) and private user address books below the individual user entries (cn=Contacts,uid=,ou=People,dc=mydomain) . I can set up evolution to read/write each of these separately, but there does not appear to be any way to do so with egroupware. How do I tell egroupware where to find by Personal, various groups, and company, address books?
