HELP! How to install via remotely hosted plesk (linux) server

Hello all, I am very new to the server world so please excuse my ignorance. I am trying to install the latest version of egroupware onto my VPS using Plesk 8.1. I have no idea how to do this. I have read install directions but don’t think they apply to my situation. Do I use the “Application Vault” and upload it as a “new application package?” Help would be much appriciated. Also please explain in laymen terms:)

I have a similiar question/issue. I have installed eGroupware via the Plesk Application Vault but the version in the Application Vault is 1.0.0.8. I would obviously like to install a later version, but tried installing the latest package into the Application Vault in Plesk but it is not a valid application format. I beleive the package needs to be scripted in a certain manner to fit in with the installation procedure of the Vault.

Not being a Linux expert, I found the installation via the Applicaiton Vault very useful and it worked first time with most (if not all) of the eGroupware packages working.

Does anyboy know how to get the latest version of eGroupware into a format that Plesk can understand??

You can install it as a normal web software.
Do not care about plesk (more or less).

Create a database, copy your egroupware directory, where you want and
install it via egroupware/setup, as normally you used to do.

Your VPS is a server, do whatever you want
