Help with update

Friends, good afternoon. I need help. I’m a newbie using Egroupware. I just loved the system, but I get lost in things I think are simple. Example. Whenever the system prompt me to update, but I’m not sure how I accomplish the task. My system is installed on a web server and I do not understand what I should do. Are there any manuals I can guide?

How did you install it?
As a package or do you have an archive installation?

With a package installation you simply update the system with e.g.apt upgrade.
During the archive installation-update, you simply replace the installation and check in the setup whether there is still work to be done.
Make a backup of the directory and the database beforehand!

Archives-installations are not recommended!
