How I can update egroupware 17.1 to 19.1?

Hope everyone is fine, I wanted to know how I can update my current version (17.1) of eGroupware to the latest version (19.1) ??

I wanted to use the chat application which is a very fruitful feature for us. How I can enable this feature? do I need to install something externally?

Please wait for the release notes.
If you have a package installation, you will simply be able to make an update via your package-manager.
For Rocket.Chat you will need to install/use a Rocket.Chat server. More about this later…
