I’m writing an app in egroupware and need a way
to “create and link to” a new tracker ticket
from within that app.
The scenario is the following: the phone rings,
an employee answers the phone, the caller wants
to signal a problem, so the employee opens the
caller’s record in the new app, creates a new
ticket and links it to the caller’s record, then
fills the ticket with what the caller tells him.
I’m using etemplates and in the edit template for
the application I’ve placed a link-to widget, but
while that enables me to link to an existing ticket,
that doesn’t seem to enable me to create a new ticket
and link to it quickly (preferably in one click) with
the caller’s record, which is what’s required.
That’s a two step process:
a) use 0 for the id of the new entry
b) after saving the entry, you will notice that instead of that 0 in
link_id, content will now include an array of links you then need to

I’ve seen what looks like link-add widget in the
etemplates app, but I’ve no idea if it is what I’m
looking for and how to use it.

Your welcome, thought developer list/forum would be more suited for that
kind of question, as most of the other developers only follow the
developers list.
