Howto Timesheet - projectmanager

Hello,

We are using EGW for several years now, and happy about it.
I am currently looking if timesheet could be used in our organization.
I have some questions :

In some projects I can see the accounting tab, in others not. I looked to ACL’s, but can’t find why ???
How do you use the pricelist ? What relation is there between pricelist/timesheet/project accounting ???

There have been sometimes problems that the budget-fields are not shown

but i did not have the problem of not getting the tab n general. May
you can try to go to projectmanager->admin->configuration and just save
it again (or change allowed accounting-types". Logout/login and try it
again.

You can create pricelists related to projects and use them in the
timesheet app

Yes for so far I can see. But for sure it has something to do with ACL’S. The project
creator has the “accounting” tab, the other users not.

There have been sometimes problems that the budget-fields are not shown

When I am in a project I can click on the pricelist menu on the left, and create a new
pricelist, but nothing indicates me it is related to the project from where I started.
After that I can create a new timesheet, but can’t see how to establish any link between
the pricelist and the timesheet ?

If i got that right you asked for the handling of pricelists:

This is a bit different in the community version 1.8. and the Premium
line EPL 10.1 / 11.1:

community version 1.8: pricelists are only usable in timesheet or
infolog, if the pricelist is project-related - meening you have
specified a price for the project
EPL can handle/use general pricelists as well as project-specific
pricelists.

To add a procect-specific pricelist you best select first your project
and add than the price for the general pricelist and/or the project. The
listing will show if this is project-related or a general pricelist -
depending what you have selected in the projectmanager menu:

general pricelist: shows only the prices of the general pricelist
select a project ==> you will have a additional filter in the list to
select projects again two possibilities: having in the project-selectbox
a project specified ==> you see only related priclists to that project.
Selecting “project” will show up all pricelist and mentioning im the
pricelist is a general pricelist or to which project it belongs and if
the pricelist is bookable/billable or not available.

For projectmanager you may take into account to go for an
Starter-Workshop this makes it much easier to lear more about the
projectmanager - which are advantages and whats simply not possible at
the moment …

Hi and tanks for your help.

I think I begin to undertsand a little bit.
I had no price list available, so I could not see them in the timesheet form.
Now I can create a project specific pricelist and in timesheet select it in the selectionbox next to Unitprice.
But I can only see the project specific pricelist there not the general ?
By example I created a general pricelist workhour, that is the same for every project, I should expect to be able to select it in every project. I think the problem is that I can’t make a general pricelist available/bookable/billable.

My other problem is that I only have the “accounting” tab for the projects I created myself.
We all part of a same group sdmonv. In the group ACL of sdmonv, sdmonv has all the rights on itself.
