Html block and lang default

Hello,

When I am adding a html block in the sitemanager the block content is saved in egw_sitemgr_content_lang table … but the lang setting is not correct.

My site_languages is ‘fi’ in egw_sitemgr_sites but the added html block is saved as ‘en’.

So it looks that html blocks are saved in English by default while the only language available should be Finnish.

If I add English as a second language for my website then I can select in between languages in ‘add html block’. And the html content is saved with correct language code. But with only Finnish available then the html content is saved incorrectly.

In /egroup/setup there is only Finnish selected.
In preferences there is no forced language selected. Finnish is the defaulted value.

I hope that someone could help me with this issue. Otherwise I need to keep using bilangual website which is ok for me but for other people maintaining this website …

Just a thought: do you have Finish translation installed in EGroupware?

It’ might be you fall back to English, because no Finish translation is
in stalled in setup.

Hi Ralf,

I have Finnish translation installed and all my screens are in Finnish - except those sentences where there are no translation in egw-fi language files.

I installed my software from Lunarpages’ softaculous options. In other words, the original installation was done in English and then I changed my language settings in Setup by adding Finnish and removing English, and then I changed user language/country options in Preferences. I believed that this would make the whole system working only in Finnish but that has not been the case.

Now I am using again bi-langual with Finnish and English. My website languages are in ‘fi,en’ order in the databse. I occasionally check the database table.lang records and if I see language code ‘en’ then I will change it to ‘fi’.

So now my website works as I want but the issue is still there …

I am also maintaining egroupware on another server (and domain name). Could it be that my browser cache is causing this language issue? Sometimes I switch between servers after logging out but without closing my browser.
