Hello,
sorry I haven’t got an idea how to perform that, but I think
for some this would be useful:
Current infolog history display (in EGW CE 1.8) is quite basic, to
say the least.
It’s displayed a series of previous versions/changes;
If the Description field grows to be large, the history contents may
easily grow beyond being useful. After all, the idea of the history
log is, that we have a glance at who /changed/ what.
Therefore, could there be an option to display the infolog history
as ‘coloured diff’ ?
(e.g. have two selection boxes with dates (one with base revision,
second with last revision, populated so that any revision could be
checked against any other, and display added content green and removed red)
(or single date/revision selector, showing the whole of last ticket data
but comparing it to the /previous/ ‘revision’ accordingly (green: data added,
red+strike-through: removed), and since the infolog entries probably rarely contain
’code’, diff and colouring would need to be word-wise [space-delimited],
not line-wise [n/l delimited])
(I kind of like the latter better, may be easier to do with ordinary tools
like hiding table/div cell content via js + invoking diff + colourize/style
via egw api procedures [AJAX?])
Hope someone finds this idea useful
Kind Regards,
Lukasz
