I assume you mean a new csv export plugin for your own application,
which is different from a definition using an existing plugin.

There is no tutorial right now, please write one as you go.
I recommend using timesheet as an example to copy. It’s simple, but
demonstrates the basics.

There are three classes you’ll need for your application:

1. _egw_record
   This is simply the common interface used to read and deal with
   records. Most of it is currently unused, but you can see from the
   timesheet example which parts you need for export.

2. _export_csv
   This one handles parsing the CSV files. Most of the hard work is done
   by the import/export framework, but this is where you handle things
   specific to your application.
   Note this call:
   importexport_export_csv::convert($record,
   timesheet_egw_record::$types, ‘timesheet’, $lookups);
   It will save you a lot of work dealing with selectbox values, custom
   fields, etc.

3. _wizard_export_csv
   User interface for creating definitions using your plugin. Again,
   most of the work is done in the parent, the minimum needed is to set
   $this->export_fields.

Thanks for your help, but could you tell me how the plugins use the export?
I dont find something like: “when export button is clicked start csv export”…

When I get some good results with the export, i will try to write a tutorial

You’ve got the control flow backwards. Import/Export runs the show,
and uses the plugins. The wizard plugin allows you to customize the
definition wizard, the export plugin customizes the mapping of data ->
CSV. You need at least one definition, the definition tells the
plugin which fields to export, among other things. Most of the work
is done by Import / Export.

Plugins auto-detection happens at login; you must match the naming
conventions I gave earlier.
The detected plugins are cached for 3600s. During testing, see
importexport/inc/class.importexport_helper_functions.inc.php line 366.

Start in Admin -> Import / Export, get your plugin working so you can
create definitions using it there.

For something like: "when export button is clicked start csv export"
it depends on which export button, but either way, Import/Export takes
over, and your plugin is called at the appropriate time.
The sidebox link is just a link, you can trace that. For the
nextmatch, that involves app-specific code and preferences.
