Installation checks php-xsl

Hi!

The bookmarks module inside sitemgr needs some php xslt module
installed. Please add this check to the installation checks.

… after installing the php-xsl library and restarting the webserver,
the sitemgr bookmarks module still does not work - what’s missing then?
Is there any pear-xslt or something?

Hi Hans-Juergen,

xslt is/was a php extension: http://www.php.net/manual/en/book.xslt.php

I’m not sure what it’s status in a current php (5.2.6) is.

Try Admin >> phpinfo to check if the xslt extension is loaded.

Cite:
This extension has been moved to the » PECL repository and is no
longer bundled with PHP as of PHP 5.0.0.
If you need xslt support with PHP 5 you can use the XSL extension.

Well, the XSL lib is loaded:
xsl
XSL enabled
libxslt Version 1.1.22
libxslt compiled against libxml Version 2.6.31
EXSLT enabled
libexslt Version 1.1.22

The error message says:
The xslt_transformation used, needs the “xslt” extension of php !!!

The small class file ./sitemgr/inc/class.xslt_transform.inc.php will
need a conversion to the other XML library please…

Maybe you want to give it a try or add it to the feature request tracker.

Hmm, cant find a Bug #1856, the highest available number is 1853.

If’ve found a patch (#1322), which should fix the issue. I commited it
to trunk and 1.6.

Hm? You seem to finally have found it, too.

If’ve found a patch (#1322), which should fix the issue. I commited it

OK, that code looks very similar to the example on php.net (which wraps
the original functions). My code removes the wrappper part and builds it
in as small as possible. I still think your fix is OK as this part is
not timing-critical.
