Integration of Qualinnove Extensions into the next 1.6 release

Hi folks,

We are the Qualinnove Extensions Developper Team.

We’d like to integrate our modules before the end of march into the next 1.6 release (end of march is the end of our project we won’t have budget to do the integration later than this deadline).

BUT, our modules use VIEW TABLE.

We’d like that eGroupWare can manage VIEW TABLE.
That means

postgresql 8.1
or mysql 5.0.1
is a prerequisite for running 1.6 eGroupWare release.

Our modules deals with the :

mydms links
pdf for every modules
risk decision (issue) management,
capitalisation
agenda and review
objective management
project calendar
project team
project role and member mission
subtracker
project tab in tracker
resolution percentage into the tracker list and few modifications like that
process description
at the end of march: dashboard…

What do you think about this technical point?

We don’t want to discuss these functionnalities into this topic we just want to talk about the VIEW TABLE technical point.

We’d like to achieve this topic before the end of february.

Can you provide some info about VIEW TABLE?

PD: Some of the tracker features are allready implemented in trunk. I’m
curious what’s means subtrackers.

just go to qualinnove.tudor.lu/egroupware
and register a new account.

(registering through the website on the right does not seem to work. Still trying to correct that.

Trackers are useful when you want to describe your functionnal software requirements.
After that , you may need to decompose this functional requirement in sub requirements that are more technical requirements. That is why we need subtracker.
Subtrackers are dedicated to developers while tracker are dedicated to the key users (the customer).
It is a agile approach for managing requirements (ie tracker)

Have a look on the demo website qualinnove.tudor.lu/egroupware, tracker module, sub tracker tab. To add a subtracker, just add a tracker in the link tab. It will appear in the subtracker tab.
In the main tracker list, we have added a filter for showing only main tracker or just subtracker.

Regarding view table, salim from our team will give you an answer.

How are you?

VIEW Table is a “virtual” table but you can manipule it like others tables.

As it’s a virtual table you cannot insert new data :-D.

The only difference is that the VIEW table is defined by predefined query.

For example, you can define a VIEW for addressbook where you will only select columns contact_id and n_fn and where contact_id > 15.
