Javascript in a Custom Egroupware Application

If my own Egroupware Application needed some special javascript loaded, where and how would I load it?

Applications using the new etemplate system should put their
javascript in /js/app.js
It will be automatically loaded. See the other apps’ app.js and
phpgwapi/js/jsapi/app_base.js

Other javascript files are allowed, and can be loaded explicitly using
egw_framework::validate_file(…);

Arbitrary javascript in templates is no longer allowed due to CSP restrictions.

Thanks, about the auto-loading of app.js. Sounds nice and simple!

Another easy question, also javascript related:

If I wanted to apply the CKEDITOR functionality to a textarea of my own, how would I call it?
(I tried to copy how the knowledge base did it, but I was not able to get it working)

If it’s an etemplate app, use the appropriate widget (htmlarea?)
instead of textbox, everything is automatic.
If it’s not, you’d have to instanciate CKEDITOR explicitly, and
remember to clean up after.
