Hi! I’m new here. The thing is that I would like that eGroupware sends mails to the users involved when somebody posts a new task. I guess it could be done directly by de php function mail(). The question is that if I’d succeed to do the changes I would like it to be included in newer versions of eGroupware. Could somebody teach me how to do/send changes on eGroupware code so they could be considered for newer versions? Thaks a lot!

the module notifications (if configured/preferenced correctly), and the regarding preferences in infolog should do that for you
