Login check without template?

Hello,
I’m adapting an invoice-application to run under egroupware.
So far, it works, but I have still one remaining problem:
The appp uses fpdf for printing an invoice or an offer to a pdf-file. If I use

$GLOBALS['phpgw_info']['flags']['currentapp']='phprechnung';
    include('../../header.inc.php');

fpdf gives me an error (“Some output has already been sent”)
I know that I have to leave the header blank.
So I used that code:

if ($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']!='/egroupware/phprechnung/rechnung/drucken_pdf.php' && $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']!='/egroupware/phprechnung/angebot/drucken_pdf.php') {
    $GLOBALS['phpgw_info']['flags']['currentapp']='phprechnung';
    include('../../header.inc.php');
} // Damit kein Header ausgegeben wird, wenn Rechnung oder Angebot gedruckt werden soll

That way it works, but it doesn’t check if the user is logged in (so everybody can print invoices).

Is there a way to leave the header fully blank, so that the app can generate and send the pdf-file and to check if the user is logged in?

thanks for Your message.
Well, it’s a bit strange. It opens the Programm to show a pdf file (ocular), but the pdf file seems to be empty.
When I open the file with kate, it shows me after the header a different content than the original file downloaded without the password/login option of egroupware. And the new file is shorter.

I think there is a problem with the codepage / charset, I tried to set it manually in the fpdf.php, but nothing changes.
Is there a way to override the charset settings of egroupware or do You think it is another error?

Can be two reasons:

a) you generate a Content-Length header and use strlen to calculate it.
As EGroupware sets mbstring.func_overload, this will give you a to small
length, if file contains non-ascii chars. We have a function bytes() for
that purpose.

b) other problem can be output buffering together with
zlib.output_compression php.ini setting
