Looking at new 1.6 svn - can't find new filemanager?

Ralf, All:

I got Ralf's messages about "Attention SVN user 1.6 branch created" and used

.svn-help to change branch from trunk to 1.6. Everything went fine. Browsing
applications and browsing http://svn.egroupware.org/egroupware/branches/1.6/ I
can’t find the new file manager. I only see filemanager and mydms. The mydms
changelog end at 3/2008 and I can’t tell where the changelog for filemanager
is. Both of these lead me to believe neither is the new filemanager.

Is the new filemanager available yet? If so, where? If not, does it need a

little more time? I don’t mind pulling a development version. I would like to
get a look at it so I can start familiarize myself with it and provide
feedback. I have stumbled around the egw site, but didn’t run into any
information in the changelogs, etc. except for the promo stuff about there
being a new filemanager for 1.6. If someone could just provide me with a link I
would be grateful thanks

Hi David,
the filemanager is the new filemanager.
It relaced the old filemanager, and implemented the existing functionality
and a couple of new features.
Main thing about the new filemanager in the current state is:

• the method of handling files
• the UI
• the underlying methods
• the performance gained by the above items
  Updating from 1.4 or trunk should be possible, with all files taken.
  NOTE:
  Do a full backup (files/data/source) before you do that.
