Lost access to admin account after logout

It’s happened second time.

Vesion 1.4.001

Site is internal, apache logs shows that only I accessed my site.

I work with configurations and so, then logout.
After I try to login, i get

“Bad login or password”

Username/passsword was the same, Firefox remembered it, I also try input another times. Then account blocked for 1/2 hour.

I look to MySQL table “egw_accounts” and password hash was the same. I try to copy hash from other user account, with wich I can login, but results was the same - bad login and then blocked.

Only way (and not so nice) of “reowning” - delete this account and then through setup recreate admin account. This is not so nice, because tables are related with users ID and if I loose some working account, I loose created content.

Any solutions?

a) use the right pw
b) wait the default 30min (can be changed in Admin >> Site configuration)
c) empty the egw_access_log table
d) read the knowledgebase, to find the above …

a) password was right, I even change it with hash of know password directly in SQL table
b) c) it dosn’t helps
d) …

It happened after I configure my settings and logoff.

Ok, I hope that did not happens again!

I’m having similar trouble.

Fatal error: Undefined class name ‘galleryembed’ in /var/www/apache2-default/egroupware/gallery/inc/class.g2_integration.inc.php on line 286[/quote]

When I go to log in, I get the same behavior ielija describes. If I skip logging in and just go straight to the root directory of egroupware, I’m still logged in as a regular user. The only way I can seem to truly log out is to allow my session to time-out. Last time I tried that (waiting for 30-min or more), I think it worked – but I must get the correct user ID and pwd on the first try or I get the same behavior.

FWIW, I’d rather not have gallery2 in there, but I’m not sure how to get it out. I’ll poke around the forums some more to see. But, perhaps eGW should log out more cleanly despite problems with gallery2 or any other individual module.

If anyone has suggestions, I’d be happy to try things and perhaps help diagnose the problem.

Well, I got past it. Thought I’d post my solution for anyone else having similar issues.

First, I solved all the installation problems (got rid of gallery2, etc.).

Then, I tried to re-create the same admin userid in setup. No go. Still won’t let me in.

On a whim, I created an admin user with a different userid – worked. Looks like my prior admin user got demoted to regular user. But at least I can administer my site now.

What I have found is that Gallery2 ("gallery") does *not* play nicely

over and during upgrades of egw. I have found a system for gallery that
works for me during those times. First for major updates like 1.2 - 1.4,
Just install the new version of egw and icalsrv and get things up and
running before you think about installing gallery. (I would recommend
all installs for a production environment to be from the stable SVN branch.

At first, setup will complain that gallery isn't there. No problem,

just use Admin --> Applications and disable gallery for the time being.
Get things going the way you like. Then just checkout the stable SVN
version of gallery and put it (the gallery directory) under the
…/egroupware/ directory of your server. Then simply use Admin -->
Applications to ‘re enable’ gallery. You will be asked an abbreviated
set of gallery setup questions that will use your existing gallery data
and then you are done. All of your original gallery data will still be
there.
