Mac Safari can't log in to non-default domain?

It seems that in the last week, it is now not possible to log in to a
domain that is not the default domain with Safari 3.2.1 (5525.27.1).
Default domain works fine. Firefox works fine for any domain. Safari
logging in to a non-default domain gives:
An error happend
Wrong domain! ‘not_default_domain’ != 'default_domain’
There haven’t been any code changes.
Maybe Safari updates? Has anyone else seen this?

The part that triggers this is phpgwapi/inc/class.egw_session.inc.php,
line 765. For some reason the user’s domain is set to the default
domain instead of the domain being logged into.

We have a number of issues with strange URLs at the moment but this is
new… In trying to reproduce this I am running into an ?correct
exception in CREATE and not in VERIFY . Can you confirm you are seeing
this in VERIFY?

Yes, I confirm that this is happening in verify(), not create(), which
initially caused me much puzzlement.

but there are some things that are getting confusing and I need your help

I don’t know how to set form working or the email sent to support@mydomain.com
feeding the InfoLog or ToDo items.

You appear to be using suhosin… can you confirm that
suhohosin.executor.include.max_traversal is set to to zero or not less
than 6 when you redirect?

Hello, after upgrading my EGW from 1.4 to 1.6, I curently opened the
Infolog where I have the following error on top of the menu.

I think we’re using the patch, not the extension
There is nothing in phpinfo() about that directive, so it should be
the default, 0.

Checked every way I can think of, and a few I couldn’t.
That option is not set on our server.

I broke my hackintosh and it took time to get a real one back into
use… We found the problem with “mangeled urls” not really am egw
problem, more a webdav interpretation “grey area” .Sorry but can’t
reproduce the non default domain login problem against your site or any
other at the moment. Safari was 3.2.1. and the Camino was also up to
date. Differences in display due to usual problems but everything
working as it should. We now need to be very specific. Safari is by
default very restrictive on cookie use . I quote: "Safari ships with a
conservative cookie policy which limits cookie writes to only the pages
chosen (“navigated to”) by the user. This default conservative policy
may confuse frame based sites that attempt to write cookies and fail. Be
sure to check the Safari preferences before assuming that your cookies
are not written due to a bug; it may just be the users preference."
There may be a “catch22” here that we haven’t identified. Do you have
time to play with the settings here? or perhaps try to trap what the
browser is doing?

Tried always accepting cookies, that didn’t help.
I actually managed to get the Wrong domain error before logging in
now, by causing it in the usual way, clicking back, and changing the
URL to http://demo.projecterp.org (nothing after). Now it won’t even
give me the login.

There may be a “catch22” here that we haven’t identified. Do you have
time to play with the settings here? or perhaps try to trap what the
browser is doing?

If you’ve got ideas to try, I can try them.

I found it.

eGW sets a cookie named ‘domain’ on class.egw_session.inc.php, line 586.
Safari calls it ‘Domain’. Since PHP array keys are case sensitive,
this fails when checked.

This appears to not be an issue on Safari for windows.

I’ve committed a work-around, rev 26534.
