Manuals don't seem to work under subdomain

I am new to this forum and not sure where to put my question. I assume this is a correct location.

I have installed EGroupware (1.8 and later on the daily snapshot) on my domain under the map /egroupware (configured this also in the config administration). Accessing my site by http://www.mydomain.com/egroupware everything works fine.

Now I am setting up a subdomain http://intranet.mydomain.com that points to my /egroupware map. I also setup the configuration to be / and not /egroupware. This also works fine, except when I want to read the manual pages. It now says in a new window:

“The requested URL /manual/index.php was not found on this server.”

Without the subdomain the manual pages seemed to work fine.

Can anybody point out a solution for me?

This is the correct description of my problem and a plausible cause. However this does not solve my problem right now. I see the reported bug is closed, so it would be solved (?). But it does not work for me yet.
Is there a solution or just still the (unsolved) bugreport?

The cause is obvious, as is the fix: you can not have two different
things on the same url.

So either install EGroupware in a subdir of the docroot (eg. the default
/egroupware) or do NOT install Apache manual under /manual.
