Hi,

I noticed in the list of new feature that egroupware has it’s “own memcached
session handler”.
1-Does that mean that the installation of memcached is recommended to take
advantage of this feature?
At the moment the only benefit from memcached is, it works with multiple
webservers, eg. a cluster serving eGW
2-If yes to above then is it simply “yum -y install memcached” then
"memcached -d -u root" to get it running, then “service httpd reload” so
that the webserver loads it?
3-Or do I have to download and install PECL Memcache and put
"extension=memcache.so" into the php.ini file.
You need that extension and add memchaned as session handler in your php.ini
