[Migration] Lotus => Postfix / Egw

I certainly will have to do a migration from Lotus Notes ( mail accounts & files ) , agenda , contacts … to a structure Postfix / Egroupware

Does somebody have ever done this migration … ? Is it possible ?

i have used this processus for a similar operation

1. i have created a egw-system with new accounts and openldap directory and postfix mail server
2. each users migrate his own mails data with Outlook client with Domino Outlook Connector and an imap connexion on postfix/imap account
3. calendar resources have been sync by funambol <=> egroupwae and Domino connector via outlook

All is in the title …

My system will be strutured with a SQL DB instead of LDAP manager

But i know now it’s exists a way to do this migration …

We are in the (painfull) process of migrating several hundred users from Lotus Notes 5 to eGroupware. It seems there is no “smooth” way for this kind of migration. Most of the emails can be migrated using IMAP to IMAP moving but this particular Lotus release has some serious design flaws, so not all eMails can be migrated so easy. Addresses are converted using a special tool: They are exported from Lotus, converted to CSV and imported to eGW. All other user data (luckily not much) is simply abandoned, it was not so important.

Perhaps a working LDAP setup (on both sides) would have made things easier… I don’t know. We are just adding users in eGW and mail system and then delete the Lotus account and leave an addressbook entry for all users that are not migrated to the new setup.

So … Could you explains me in details if possible … what’s the mechanism to manage to migrate mail (account & boxes) to the posfix system.

Ok for the sync of calendadrs,contacts,… with outlook and Funambol
