Hi,
this is observed first since 1.8.002, haven’t tried earlier versions (because there was
no phones to test this on then);
When my user tries to create a link between e.g. Addressbook entries, with his
mobile phone (iPhone 4S) the following happens (tested it myself):
(btw may be relevant: this is using phone internet over 3G/GPRS connection, so with help of the
’external’ servers!)
- enter search phrase into the Search field on the Links tab
- click the ‘search’ (’>’) button
- page returns but nothing changes (!)
- to see what has been returned, user has to click another tab (e.g. custom or Description),
then return to Links tab
- only then the found value is revealed in the dropdown box and the ‘Link’ button shows.
I smell that the ‘browsing via 3G or GPRS’ may have a factor here (as the sessions tend to
migrate between the ‘helper servers’ like crazy, d’oh. (I already had to switch off session
ip address verification because of that))
When used in local WLAN network, the same works on the same phone without a problem.
Fixable ?
