since the 1.5 is the development tree of egroupware, where the future
release is
worked on, the ability to upgrade to an upcomming official release is
possibe.
But the 1.5 is a work in progress, …
Given this you should first test the release you have in mind before you
switch.
Check out trunc/1.5 in a different location, use the data of your current
egw-instance
(export/import with the database backups) to try out.
