The new version 14.1 got published mid of July 2014. EGroupware 14.1 brings tons of new features and is based on new technologies, which allow to do much more on the browser in order to improve usability and implement smart functions. The new Release is a milestone for the future development of EGroupware and we want to thank our friends and partners for helping by testing and giving us valuable feedback.

With users worldwide, which number in the hundred thousands and a marked presence of more than a decade, EGroupware is one of the most successful browser based Open Source team management applications. The developers have positioned the software as an alternative to products like Microsoft Office 365, server solutions like Exchange/Outlook or Google.
For community as well as enterprise users, the completely newly developed user interface in particular as well as e.g. the new email client, the admin module and hundreds of new functions are milestones which distinguish the new release from its former versions considerably. Up to date technologies give a smooth and comfortable working experience on the browser and show a real way out of traditional client-server based solutions.

- Migration from former versions of EGroupware
A) EGroupware Cloud (Stylite managed hosting):
As a EGroupware Cloud customer migration is easy. Just get in touch with us for planning the transition to 14.1. A few details and the timing of the upgrade have to be agreed.
B) On-premise installations; EGroupware Enterprise Line (EPL) only
For on-premise installations of EGroupware EPL we’ll send detailed migration instructions in a few days. If you’re operating your EGroupware using the ‘auto-update’ feature for package based installations, we want to inform you, that we suspended the automatic upgrade routines till end of August 2014, to give you time to plan the migration.
