New install - problem with header.inc.php

Hi all,

I’m new to egroupware and am pulling my hair out trying to get it all working correctly. I’ve got the PHP, PEAR, MYSQL and Apache (on Windows 2003) working correctly. The installation checker looks good but I’m stumped on the next part. It takes me to manageheader.php which does nothing. It won’t produce the file I need and I haven’t been able to make one manually from the template.

Any work arounds for this that anyone’s found? Or feel free to post your header.inc.php (censor out your sensitive data). I just need to see what needs to be changed from the template and what needs to be left as is. Thanks all.

I ended up installing the older 1.4 which generated the file correctly. I then upgraded the file to 1.6 which worked fine. Pain in the ass.

With the minimal information given, this is likely to be never fixed, as
it probably depends on some (exotic) config on your side

I too am having this problem. Being a novice to computers, what infomation would you like so that we can resolve this problem. Thank you.

I can NOT reproduce that behaviour (neither on Linux nor on Windows). I
just tested it again yesterday.

With the minimal information given, this is likely to be never fixed, as
it probably depends on some (exotic) config on your side

Okay, so I downloaded EGW 1.6.001.zip to my local computer. I unzipped the package and then uploaded (using an FTP) to a hosted server (GoDaddy) running linux and PHP 5.x. My local machine is running Win Vista x32 in IE unknown version. I hope this helps.

What is your environment:

Try downloading and installing Mozilla’s Firefox and using it for the installation. I had the same problem with IE7 and fixed it with Firefox.

That does not sound to me like a bug fix… it is a bug

but I have to agree, it works… also in one of my installations!!!
