It sounds like a good idea.
Some of the features which I could see in the roadmap would be:
- egroupware better positionned as a framework
- use of an ORM layer as an upgrade to db-Tools
- standard built-in CRUD and scaffolding features
- consistent and improved support of locales
- improvement to existing ACL framework
- contiunous improvement to eTemplate such as: support for objects instead
of arrays for $content, caching and/or compilation, etc. (There are some
situation in which etemplate uses far too more resources, such as when we
have a table with 100’s of rows).
