Some more info:
If i set “Group” rights in tracker ACL for “Everyone”, it also works. I assume
this is a bug.
Actual behaviour:
If you enable “Group” rights for “New items” in tracker ACL, the “Group” field
becomes enabled and available, but it’s empty. After saving it gets assigned
to “Admins” group (or not assigned).
If you enable “Group” rights for “Everyone” in tracker ACL, it works as
expected.
If you disable “Group” rights for all roles (Everyone, New items,
Technicians,…) in tracker ACL, the “Group” field when creating a ticket
becomes disabled, but after saving the ticket gets assigned to “Admins” group,
or does not get assigned at all (no way how to verify it)
Expected behaviour:
If you enable “Group” rights for new items in tracker ACL, the “Group” field
should become enabled and available and groups should be filled in to choose.
If you disable “Group” rigts, the “Group” field should become disabled (which
it does), but after saving, the “Group” field should be set to the creator’s
primary group (which it doesn’t, it always gets assigned to Admins or does not
get assigned at all)
I hope i provided enough info. Should i fill a bugreport somewhere?

With further testing i figured out this:
If i assign the creator’s group to “Tracker admins”, i’m able to set
"Group", i.e. groups are listed in the dropdown box when creating a new
ticket. Shouldn’t this be considered a bug? I think that you should be able
to change “Group” just by enabling “Group” in ACL or am i wrong? The ACL
enables the dropdown box for choosing group, but items are filled in only
when the creator is also tracker admin…
Default ticket assigment is something else afaik.

Hi Lukáš,
Hi,
If i create new tracker entry from any acount, it always gets assigned
to
"Admins" group (in details tab), so i must login to some of the admins
and
manually set group for that entry.
Is there a way to change this so that new entries will be assigned to
creator’s primary group?
That’s not possible currently. You can define a user or group a ticket
of a certain category get auto-assigned too.
Looks you defined Admin group for that specific category.
Ralf
Thanks
