News SQL Error

Hello,

I am running a fresh install of EGroupware 1.8 on Ubuntu 10.04. When I
"uninstall" the news application I get an email from cron every hour
that complains about the egw_news table not existing. I have multiple
instances of EGW, and on some I want the news enabled and on others I do
not. Does anybody have any suggestions for this other than to re-enable
news on this instance?

The error I get is:

Hi James,

I guess you installed News Admin before. That install creates an async
job, which get’s not deleted, when the app get’s deleted.

It’s on row in egw_async table with you can delete with following SQL:

DELETE from egw_async WHERE async_id=‘news_admin-import’;

Unfortunately we dont have a service (like the one for install) that
could be used to delete the job automatically. I need to look into that.
