What’s the current state of new Home/Dashboard App?

Will come with next release 14.2
Is there already a release date or some (mayby rought) planned features?
Yep 
New 14.2 will be released within this year and has three main topics:

simple sharing of files from Filemanager
Means we will create a complex URL with which one can access a file or a
whole directory without additional credentials.
You put eg. all pictures from your last holiday in
/home/peter/photos/holiday2014, make a right-click on the folder and
select “share”. Then you enter a bunch of mail addresses to whom you
want to send the link.
Our commercial EPL subscription will additional allow write access and
further control: expiration dates, additional password, …

Dashboard
Features of existing Home app plus placing there single entries from
other apps via drag-n-drop.
There will be more (partially commercial / EPL) plugins, which can be
placed there.

Tablet support
Aim is to make the complete EGroupware feature-set reasonable usable on
tablets, incl. selection of multiple entries and context menus. This
will surely improve handling on smartphones, but it is not our aim to
develop a fully adapted user-interface for smartphones.
