Hello,
I know that the nextmatch widget is used mostly for browsing and filtering
data (editing done in a separate window). Does it support somehow editing too?
There’s no reason why not. You can put input boxes into a nextmatch row.
If you want some like on demand editing (clicking on the r/o cell to
transform it into an input field), you need some client-side javascript,
which you need anyway to submit the edited content back via AJAX.
I would like to know if it is possible to add/edit/delete many rows at
once (I mean all rows being editable) with a behavior similar to
http://trirand.com/jqgrid/jqgrid.html
There’s no default behavior for adding rows, so you need to do that
again with some clientside javascript code AND also need to take care of
submitting the added line back to the server.
If you just add input boxes into a nextmatch row, you need to understand
the way names in nextmatch rows get generated: everything is based on
(or below) $content[‘nm’].
