Not able to see all projects in Timesheet search list

Basic Information:
Version 21.1.20230210, Ubuntu 22.04 via apt, php 8.1.16
vs
Version 23.1.20240304, Ubuntu 22.04 via apt, php 8.2.15
Both: virtual machines on the same server.

On the Time Sheet page, there is a search list which is labeled “All projects” in version 21.1.20230210. In version 23.1.20240304, this search list is labeled “Search”.
In the earlier version, it showed all entries with a project displayed on a single line and it shows all projects (224).

In the newer version, the entries take up multiple lines and only display 100 of the entries leaving 55 more entries which you can’t see from this view unless you narrow the search by adding text.

Is there a way to view all of the projects in this list? I tried to find any setting that might explain why it only displays 100 entries. I found a setting under Common preferences “Max matches per page” which was set to 100 however increasing this to 200 did not change the behavior of the search
It is inconvenient not to see the whole list as you have to switch from the mouse to the keyboard to get the last 55 entries.

We limited the number of search results to 100, as having no limit can stall the whole EGroupware, if you have a real high number of entries e.g. thousands or more.

Currently the number is hardcoded, thought we could use the maximum of our current hardcoded limit and the (old) common preference “Max. matches per page”.

@bbegw: what do you think, it’s a small fix which would allow for more flexibility

Using the max of the limit or “max matches per page” would be wonderful. We rarely end up with more than 250 entries by the end of the year. We restart each year which keeps the number of projects down but I can understand that thousands of entries could stall things.
