Opening CRM View from external Application via URL or script

Hi all,

to integrate with a telephony suite (tk-Suite from Agfeo) i would like to open the contacts crm view in a new Browser tab or window. I am able to fetch the contacts id, so all i need is to jump to the right page. I am aware that it is possible to open the search page looking for the phone number with
egroupware/index.php?menuaction=addressbook.addressbook_ui.index&search=0123&cd=yes
but this does not go to the addressbook. It will show your search when you enter the addressbook tab yourself, but if you are currently on the email tab, it will stay there. So it would require 3 clicks as of now: click on incoming call to feed phone number into search page and pop up browser, click on addressbook tab, click on found contact. I would like to reduce this to 1 click.
Thats why i would like to know, whether anyone has any solution to directly open a contacts crm view from an external app.
Maybe use a script to send a made up post request? I am open to anything. I am assuming that somebody else has already done something similar, as it is so obviously useful and productive.

phone-number with a leading + that would also need url-encoding as %2B.
Hopefully your app knows how to url-encode

list with search filled out with what you were searching for and no
result. If multiple contacts exist for that number, you can use arrow
buttons in CRM view to move to the right one.

Class! I wished for this too ! I was quite deep in researching about CalDAV/WebDAV search access,
but that’s way way easier thank you

Will it work if the user is logged on on one tab, if I instantiate the webbrowser opening new tab ?
(will it reuse existing session cookies?)
