Packing external code wich is under PHP license

Hi,

there is a discussion on pear-dev mailinglist about the PHP licence
(wich is used by most of the pear packages).

There are also some mails that deal with packing pear packages into
other applications.

With reference to what has been said at the developer days, that packing
pear packages with egroupware is not possible because of PHP license,
egw has a problem. If egw really can not distribiute external code with
PHP license, then the auth package inside of adodb has to be removed.

As adodb is dual licensed with BSD and LGPL, I wonder why they are
packing with Auth from pear which is under PHP license.

If I understand
http://gplv3.fsf.org/wiki/index.php/Compatible_licenses#GPLv3-compatible_licenses
correct, then GPLv3 is compatible with PHP license 3.01.

That mean, once GPLv3 exists AND we decide to use it, we can bundle
php 3.01 licensed packages as much as we want.
