Path images in Wiki don't work properly. A bug?

Hi, everybody.
I putted “/images” path in admin page of wiki. I made the path, with correct rigth, but I couldn’t insert/upload any images. After I found a solution.
My web server setting configuration is :

OS: Linux
webserver: apache 2.0
webroot: /srv/www/htdocs
EGW path: /data/egroupware

EGW is installed in an alias directory. I can access to EGW whit an URL like “http://localhost/egroupware”.
Well. If I make image directory in “/data/egroupware/images” it doesn’t work (egroupware answer where isn’t the directory). If I make image directory in “/srv/www/htdocs/images” it works well.

Why this? I aspect to work the path “/data/egroupware/images”, no “/srv/www/htdocs/images”.
Is it a bug? Or is Apache setting no perfectly?
Is it possible to do to work with the path “/data/egroupware/images”?

document root”.

Your document root is: /srv/www/htdocs

I understand this, but I wait alias directory works as a “physical directory”. Maybe Wiki reads the real path, no URL path.
But is it possible Wiki reads in alias directory directly? Or should I do something in the physical layer and in the apache configuration (like link, directory option tags, etc…)?

The current code constructs the directory by appending the given dir to
the document root. If that dir exists, it is used, otherwise not. We
cant access the Apache configuration.

In most installations eGroupware resides write protected from the
webserver in /usr/share/egroupware. Therefore the directory has to be in
the real document root.

I understand how work the code constructor. I’ll work on apache configuration and with directory/link to do a “re-direct” directory-image.

I know this is an old thread, but I am having the same problem. I have set up a folder in my apache root. I can browse directly to the folder from a browser (I will have to set up access permissions at some point) but when I try to enter this folder in egroupware (wiki or knowledge) I get the error “Directory does not exist, is not readable by the webserver or is not relative to the document root!”

Can anyone help me shed some light on this…
