Hello Group (and Nathan in particular)
I am sorry to bring this up in the developers group,
(especially that I sent this to perp-developers already too) but
thought if I get some eyeballs on it, it may be resolved sooner.
I installed pERP 0.4 from tarball, on top of EGW 1.8 CE latest stable
(from debian packages) (on Debian Stable 6.0.5 since Ubuntu cd gave a two-finger
salute to my centrino laptop for not having PAE… but that’s another story)
(also I don’t wish to run 1.6 from tarball, thank you very much)
It required manual meddling with some of the perp’s setup.inc.php files to convince them that
1.8 (1.9 in case of infolog) is compatible. But then it installed without errors.
(only Workflow didn’t - but that’s another topic, it’s optional IIRC)
So I went on to enter some real life data, but at the stage of entering new stock item
it went on to show me /grey/ area where the stock_num field should be:
(this is html code it resolves to, as seen by Firefox 15 and 14.1)
which doesn’t get filled in when ‘Save’ is clicked, and so I am getting a message
’Missing stock number’.
The editable etemplate of that form (v 1.2) doesn’t have ‘read-only’ option on in this field.
For comparision, the Description field below, resolves to
I tried to locate the exact place this (stock_num) field is being configured for display,
and I must say I am at a loss here.
I’d appreciate if somebody could shed some light what should I search for (in pERP that is,
I don’t intend to patch egroupware to fix this)
Hope the above makes sense,
kind regards,
Lukasz
