I am just setting up an egw server (1.2.107 on Debian Lenny) for the first
time.
Everything seems to work ok.
Only for backup reasons I would like to have the domains’ files and backup
directories
in another location, ie. in /srv/egroupware//[files|backup].
But I can’t get this to work.
When pointing them for example to /tmp/egroupware/… it works.
Web server config? Is this apache? In safe_mode? Look at your apache config and see if it has a
php_admin_value open_basedir “…” which allows /tmp and document root usually. You might have
to add the directory you desire into that string.
But just by changing the tmp to srv egw refuses.
Certainly a symptom of the open_basedir issues if present.
I already tried giving the srv dir the same ownerships like tmp but it
didn’t help.
Good.
Seems like there is something else ???
Good luck.
