Post all the selected row ids($row[cont_id]) on click of a submit button

Hello I have a list view generated by nextmatch which contains a few rows coming from a table. Each row has a checkbox. A user can check one or more checkboxes. There would be a submit button, onclick of submit, all the checked values are posted to the $_POST array or $content[‘nm’] array. But I am not able to retreive either of these arrays. I have tried to follow the example in addressbook, but I am not understanding how it works.

I have named my checkbox as “checked[]”, and options as “$row_cont[tab_id]”. I have checked that the submit button and the list view generated by next match are in the same form “etemplate”. Now I am wondering how do I post the checked checkboxes using submit??

You need a submit button or a select box with onchange --> submit form set.

To “see” where the id’s are set, I would recommend to temporary put a
_debug_array($content); in your callback passed to etemplate::exec().

Hello Sir, I need a submit button and not a select box (as in address book). I need to submit all the checked items, so that I can group all the checked items into one collection. You can assume this as a collection of items and I am processing a shopping cart order. So I need a submit button, which would look similar to the add button in address book, though with different functionality.

Still the same answer:

If you want to handle it on serverside with a submit: put a submit
button there, add _debug_array($content) to your callback, click it and
have a look at the output.

If you talk about handling it on clientside or via Ajax: give the button
an onclick

do_something(get_selected_array(this.form,'[rows][checked][]'));
