Problem in calendar in Trunk checkout

Hi, I´m using the latest trunk checkout on Debian with Postgres Database.

After the last checkout (include the changes of a couple of days) I have a problem with new entrys in the calendar.

Most of my categories are duplicatet and I got most of the time a conflict when I enter direkt following entrys like:

Meeting1 09:00 to 10:00
Meeting2 10:00 to 11:00

I have got it once to work by searching for a free entry, but most of the time the relevant spare place will not be shown.
I assume the problem lies in not initialized milliseconds with the “new” interface.

Hi,

You are right the categories are all duplicated and not shown correctly.

About the second problem, I tried to reproduce it but it doesn’t happen for me. Can you please give me a bit more details about the entry that you’re tried to save, like if there are categories or set alarm, etc on them?

Additionally, would you please check your javascript console and the Network tab, when you try to save the entry, to see if there is any AJAX error or request failure?

By the way, appreciate for reporting it. Meanwhile, I will try to see whats happening with calendar category, and will inform you soon.

Maybe this can help you:

I have 3 entries on 05.11.2013

10:20 to 11:30
11:30 to 12:55
12:55 to 15:45

Entry 2 show a conflict with entry 1. I have opened entry 2 and startet the js debug window. When I click on “save” I got the following log:

So, I have a hint for you:

If you compare some entrys in the database in th ecalendar table from the past versions to the actual one you can see that in the 2 time related fields are now random values for the seconds whereas in the past entrys the seconds were set to zero.
Even if it is possible I will NOT change the according records in egs_cal and egw_cal_dates by hand to avoid conflicting entrys.

As a sideeffect the calculation of the duration is obvoiously wrong.

The display of the categorylist is wrong.

The entry of a dependency is mostly not possible (works only on the second or third try after saving the calendar entry and recombining the related entry.)

In the search for the entry in the combining panel the sorting of e.g. the timeshet should be ‘actual first’, otherwise you have to go to the end of the list for actual entrys, which is really annoying.

Hi,

I´m sure that the seconds in new start and endpoints of new calendar entries are set randomly. I have seen in the source that the seconds are zeroed in a few locations, but one seems missing (I have no idea which one).

The categories now seem to be correct.

Starting time in calendar entries is allways the actual date and not the date of the entry which I´m currently editing. This is not very productive if you have a lot of entrys in the past or in the future.

If you save an entry in list form of the calender, the list seems to be sorted randomly and the color codes of the entrys don´t show up.

Text completion in firefox does not seem to work anymore.

ok, back to work…

btw. I have not seen anybody working on calendar problems in the past. Is somebody ill?

Hi,
Thank you for reporting those issues.

I have looked at my database, and I believe that the timestamps we get in start and end date of each entry, they holds the seconds but they are not random seconds instead I suppose they are the actual seconds when the entry saves. I am not agree that we need to keep seconds with the timestamp though. I suspect the new date and time picker widget return the time stap including second. Need to get a bit more deep into it.

About the start time which shown always actual date for you, please check your preferences and make sure they’re set. Because I was experiencing the same issue and turns out that somehow preferences dont take to account unless they’re forced. I am not so familiar with preferences module though.

By text completion do you mean in taglist widget? can you give me an example where you tested that in firefox please?

The autocompletion seems to be switched off at least in the calendar input form.

In the enddate field the picker widget is filled with the actual date instead of the start date. In this case I have to change the date each time when I enter a calender date in future or past.
