Problem removing language in Setup

Hi.

I am using an eGW installation of version 1.8.001 and have initially
installed three languages in the setup language tool. I am now trying to
remove one of the language by using the option “Delete all old languages
and install new ones”, but no languages are removed anyway. However, if
I select an additional language, it gets installed (so I am having four
languages right now).
Any hint how I may get rid of the languages I do not need?

The background for my question is that the registration module has sent
a password reminder in English despite that I have set Swedish as
default language for all users. That’s why I would like to remove the
English translation.

Is there anybody out there knowing how to fix the issue with removing languages as described in my previous post?

You may delete a language in your database.
Table egw_lang.
You must manipulate or delete the lang_ctimes data set in egw_config (appname phpgwapi)
and delete the language entrys in egw_lang by:
delete FROM egw_lang where lang = ‘YOUR_LANG_ABREVATION’;
YOUR_LANG_ABREVATION could be de for German, fr for french, …

There was no need to edit in egw_config, there was just the one language I had set in Setup’s Language Management. The cause that the language management nevertheless showed the other languages appears to be that the egw_lang table is scanned for language codes, and there were some posts left in the table for the other languages. Interestingly, the number of these posts varied a lot, ranging from 13 to over 6000, which may be due to different translation progress.
I have now deleted all rows in egw_lang not belonging to my principal language, and now Language Management only shows that language.
But after all the code in Language Management seems to be buggy.

It’s now fixed in all svn branches (Trunk, EPL-10.1, 1.8).

It will be included in tomorrows daily snapshot and the next maintenance
release.
